The Garden City incident occurred on Saturday, May 4, according to Nassau County Police.
Just before 5 p.m. that day, 37-year-old Rashonall Dillion of Freeport walked into the Neiman Marcus at the Roosevelt Field Mall, located at 630 Old Country Road.
A loss prevention officer for the luxury retailer allegedly saw Dillion take and hide multiple items before attempting to exit the store without paying.
He was caught by the employee, brought back into the security office, and was arrested.
Police said all of the allegedly stolen merchandise was recovered and there were no injuries.
Dillion is charged with grand larceny.
He is scheduled to be arraigned at Hempstead’s First District Court on Tuesday, May 28.
